Quinceanera!

We ran into friends at a birthday party open house who invited us to attend a quinceanera with them.  We did not know the young woman turning 15, but our friends assured us it did not matter. We had never been to one before and were surprised at what a beautiful event it was.
 Her court.

The cake.

The tables and DJ’s.

We could not stay long and left before the party really got started, but it was pretty spectacular.

Michelle and Andre’ Come for a Visit

We were lucky to have Michelle and Andre’ visit with kids for a long weekend.  First stop after the long car ride .... the park.

We also visited the College Basketball Experience which was very fun.

Here is one of the newest broadcast teams.

And another broadcast duo!

We visited Crown Center for lunch at Fritz’s where lunch is delivered by train and Union Station.

Had fun at home as well as church sites.

So glad they could make the trek!

Best Date Place?

I saw that Bird’s Botanicals was rated as a best place for a date.  It is in one of the many “caves” in the area so we had to check it out.

It was kind of cool, but creepy too.  Maybe because of being in a cave.  Here is the entrance we walked to.

Best date place? No!

Saturday Exploring

We had dry weather for a long enough stretch to make it possible to drive into the site of the Haun’s Mill Massacre.  The millstone monument is in a nearby town.

We also made a stop in Hamilton, for the Missouri Star Quilt CO’s birthday celebration.  Here I am with my bargains hanging out with Jenny.
